Dursley's Visit to Cashel

Seamus is Longest Serving Member

At their postponed monthly meeting on June 29, the Cashel Lions Club remembered one of its most active members, Catherine McLoughlin, who passed away recently. The meeting commenced with a minute's silence to her memory, proposed by President Ned O'Toole and seconded by John Geehan.
Catherine joined the club in 2002 and was involved in club activities from the very beginning. She was President during 2007-2008, when she was responsible for organising a major club fundraiser at Thurles Greyhound
Track.
She was very much involved in the club's twinning arrangement with Dursley Lions Club in the west of England and was part of the Cashel group that made a number of visits to the club. On hearing of her death the Dursley Lions sent a sympathy card to the Cashel Club.
The members of the Cashel Club attended her funeral at Ballinure and Dualla and would like to extend their sincerest sympathies to her husband, Bob, and children Mark, Garret, Adrian, Louise, Yvonne and Hilary.
